Stigma is the prejudice that predisposes to negative attitudes towards the person with a mental disorder. It implies a set of erroneous beliefs, attitudes of social rejection, fear and excluding actions that hinder recovery processes and increase the risk of social exclusion and discrimination. This attitude also appears among family members (who in turn suffer from it), professionals and the affected people themselves (self-stigma). The tendency to deny that one can suffer from a mental illness usually leads to rejection of the request for professional help and, consequently, delays in detection, diagnosis and the start of treatment.

beyond the myth
Through a young format, as it is a comic, we explain in an effective and simple way what schizophrenia consists of, it provides information about this mental illness and also demystifies existing prejudices.
It offers a series of recommendations through a story based on real testimonials from its protagonist that provides hope for the recovery and normalized life of people who have this type of health problem.
Prepared throughout the national territory, the study ranges from the affective needs of the participants to the perception of freedom over their own decision-making, covering a wide range of issues.
